Thursday Tidbits, Tips & Knitting pics!

Thought I would share some cleaning tips I've learned or heard about recently....baking soda down your drain freshens it & keeps your drain smelling clean. Use a baking soda paste to clean your stainless steel sinks - and rub in the direction of the polish lines. Also good idea to bleach your stainless steel sink   once/week...bacteria can hide in the grooves.
Some of those old-fashioned cleaning ideas work great and are healthier than the chemicals in many products sold today.  White vinegar is a great boost to your laundry-even helps soften blankets, etc. It cleans windows and surfaces and also disinfects. These 2 items are very inexpensive and can be used in a variety of ways-just do a search on the internet for many more ideas!
Knitting has been a life-long hobby of mine...since I was 7 or 8 yrs old! Just takes a little practice...you can create a simple scarf in no time and I like to keep my hands busy while watching TV next to my hubby on the sofa. He is "into" sports so I can sit there and be busy while he explains what's going on in the game....it keeps us together, and I think that's important to a good marriage. To try to understand their interests helps the bonding & communicating process.....but I've gotta admit...he's never asked me much about my knitting!! :)
Hope you get to go out & enjoy some snow or sunshine, or whatever God & nature have to offer today! Or watch some birds, for heaven's sake!  :)
